A Truly Inspiring Skating Seminar Experience

This past weekend, our skating community had the incredible opportunity to learn from an elite coach, Keegan Murphy of the Connaught Skating Club. It was a seminar that left a lasting impression on every skater who stepped onto the ice.

From the very first session, Coach Keegan brought an energy, expertise, and passion that elevated the entire experience. His attention to detail, technical knowledge, and ability to connect with skaters of all levels made each moment on the ice meaningful. Whether it was refining edges, improving flow, or building confidence with a new skill, every athlete walked away stronger and more inspired.

What stood out most was not just his coaching ability, but his genuine investment in each skater. Coach Keegan took the time to encourage, challenge, and celebrate progress—creating an environment where athletes felt supported while pushing beyond their comfort zones.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to guest skater demonstrator Nico Conforti. As an alumnus of our club, it was incredibly meaningful to welcome him back on our ice. Having Nico not only demonstrate his skills but also share his experience and coaching made the seminar even more impactful. It’s always something special when former skaters return to give back, and his presence truly inspired the next generation.

A big thank you to Tania for her inspiring yoga sessions, and to Audrey for helping our athletes build strength and flexibility every step of the way. Your impact truly shows on and off the ice.

Seminars like this remind us how important it is to learn from leaders in the sport. Exposure to different coaching styles and perspectives helps skaters grow not only technically, but mentally as well. This weekend was a powerful example of how meaningful great coaching and mentorship can be.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, knowledge, and passion that both Keegan and Nico shared with our skaters. Their dedication to the sport and to the development of young athletes does not go unnoticed, and we feel fortunate to have had them on our ice.

Thank you for everything—you’ve inspired a group of skaters who will carry your lessons forward long after the seminar ended.

Great coaches don’t just train skaters—they inspire excellence.
