This season marked an exciting step forward for solo ice dance within Skate Canada competitions. As the discipline continues to grow and gain recognition, solo dance is opening new opportunities for skaters to develop strong skating skills, musicality, performance quality, and dance technique — all while competing independently.

Traditionally, ice dance has focused on teams and partnerships, but the introduction and expansion of solo dance categories is helping promote singles skating opportunities and giving more athletes the chance to experience the excitement of competition in a new way.

Our club was proud to have two dedicated solo ice dancers compete throughout the entire season, representing the club with passion, commitment, and outstanding performances.

Congratulations to:

  • Emily — STAR 4/5 Solo Dance Provincial Champion

  • Chloe — STAR 6/7 Solo Dance Provincial Champion

Both skaters demonstrated incredible growth, artistry, and perseverance throughout the season. Their achievements highlight the success and potential of solo dance as an exciting pathway within figure skating.

We are thrilled to see solo dance continuing to expand across Skate Canada and look forward to watching more skaters discover and enjoy this discipline in the future. Congratulations again to Emily and Chloe on an amazing season and their well-deserved championship titles!
